We are now accepting applications for the second round of the Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF) to help charities and non-profit organizations serve and support vulnerable Canadians during the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizations can apply for funding until October 30, 2020.

The Government of Canada is releasing the balance of the $350 million Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF) in a second round of funding ($73.9 million). These funds are available to support communities continuing to address the impact of the pandemic.

The funding streams are being administered by United Way Centraide Canada, Community Foundations of Canada and the Canadian Red Cross in communities from coast to coast to coast. United Way BC is proud to continue to support this important investment and second round of emergency funding from the Government of Canada.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic was declared, community-based charities and non-profit organizations have been working tirelessly to provide emergency support of all kinds—in particular, to individuals and communities experiencing continued or heightened vulnerability. Demand for their services has increased dramatically. The Fund is designed to help organizations carry out their vital work in the coming months to ensure no one is left behind.

UWBC has received $169.657.00 to help front-line service agencies support those who need it most in your community. The Fund aims to help charities and non-profit organizations adapt and increase frontline services for at-risk populations during COVID-19.

Individual organizations, or multi-agency collaborations, who are working to meet the needs of vulnerable people impacted by COVID-19 within the Thompson Nicola Cariboo region are welcome to apply.

Applications open October 5th, 2020 and close October 30th, 2020.
