bc211.ca on CFJC Midday

Thanks to Susan Edgell for having us on CFJC Today Kamloops to talk about how bc211.ca is there for support when help is needed the most.

By connecting families and individuals, 211 reduces the number of personal issues that can escalate into crisis. Families can locate the help to manage children’s issues. Caregivers can find the support they need for loved ones. Lives are saved when persons in crisis receive immediate attention. By streamlining access to social and community services, 211 reduces the pressure on community and emergency services.

bc211’s reach extends to a vast amount of different groups, agencies, people in trouble. The umbrella of help that bc211 offers covers families, vulnerable groups, first responders, and even funders and planners.

This online resource and referral service is available 24/7, and with donor and government support, we hope to see talk and text hopefully rolled out in the Interior soon.
