New Atmosphere for the tots at Children’s Circle Daycare Society!
On November 7th, United Way was able to team up Domtar and Children’s Circle Daycare to paint the inside of St. Paul’s Early Learning Center giving the center a new lease on life.
Proudly operating in two locations Children’s Circle Daycare Society is a community-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing quality early learning and child services to the families of Kamloops. One of the locations it operates out of is the St. Paul’s Early Learning Centre located downtown at 622 St. Paul Street. St. Paul’s Early Learning Center offers programs for infants up to 3 years old and also was the recipient of a new upstairs and downstairs atmosphere created by Domtar volunteers.
The interior had become a fairly dated and worn down due to the years of use and destruction at the hands of the many little ones who passed through the doors. As one can imagine, the centre needed a face lift, of sorts, to breathe new life back into it. Being a not-for-profit organization with a limited budget, Children’s Circle Daycare could not do it on their own. Thanks to the Domtar volunteers who worked hard throughout the day and even into the early evening to complete the large task set before them but still managing to finish in one day. It was a lot of hard work on a cold day but the warmth in the hearts of the volunteers and warm chili provided by Children’s Circle Daycare kept spirits high and energy abound.
