It was announced at the BC Interior Community Foundation (formerly the Kamloops Foundation) AGM in June that, for the first time, United Way and the BCICF will be pooling grant funds to support a local community project. This important project called “NO Straight Lines”, brings together eight to 12 people who have experienced homelessness, and who will learn life skills while preparing, writing and delivering a live theatre performance on their experiences.

Brenda Aynsley, United Way Executive Director – “This is an example of how BCICF and United Way’s funding can complement each other and this is a wonderful opportunity for us to work together and support this project.”

As a community foundation the BCICF supports a realm of projects in a variety of different areas. United Way is proud to partner with them on this project and hopes to continue to partner with them in the future!
