On behalf of the Board, Campaign Cabinet and Staff of United Way we are proud to announce that our Executive Director, Brenda Aynsley, has been recognized for her significant contribution to our community through United Way and awarded the Diamond Jubilee Medal.

The Diamond Jubilee Medal is a prestigious national award, which honours individuals who’ve improved the well-being of people in their community.

Brenda has been an integral part of United Way’s shift from the traditional fundraising model to a community impact organization. Her leadership and vision within United Way and the partnerships she has cultivated in the region as a result has positioned the Thompson Nicola Cariboo United Way as a progressive partner in the national United Way movement.

She has been a long standing contributor on the United Way President’s Advisory Council, United Way Regional Steering Committee and recently was invited to take part in Ivey School of Business’ Community Shift.

“The work Brenda has done through United Way has improved the lives of many people in our community. We are very proud of her,” says Mark Freberg, President of United Way’s Board of Directors.

Brenda will be awarded the medal this afternoon at 4:00 PM in Victoria, British Columbia.
