On Friday, the 9th Annual Community Carnival blocked off the 300 block of Victoria Street for a day filled with sunshine and good old Carnival fun and games! With temperatures soaring to 38 degrees Celsius, our community partners and various non-profits took over the street, setting up information booths and a diversified list of activities for young and old.
This year, we once again broke the record of participating agencies with 35! And moreover, we saw many families and individuals interacting and engaging in the fun. The day was such a huge success, that I must extend my thanks to my vast network of support and collaboration:
- Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association (KCBIA): Thank you for coordinating the fantastic Merchant’s market and for your support and collaboration with the Community Carnival! I could not have done it without you!
- St. John’s Ambulance: Thank you for your smiles and assistance throughout the day!
- To our enthusiastic volunteers, Jeff, Amy L., Alanna, Pascall, Ogaga and Ellie: Thank you for standing out in the sweltering heat and lending a hand
- The various non-profits who truly made the event the success that it was:
