In case you didn’t know, United Way is on Twitter (@unitedwaytnc) and we’ve been getting pretty active with it this spring and summer. Sometimes it might seem like we’re in several different places at once, which we kind of are since we have four staff members regularly posting to our Twitter account.
In order to avoid confusion we will begin adding our initials onto tweets where we have the space so our followers know why it seems like we’re in four different places at once sometimes!
AY – @AmberYake
Amber is the Communications and Resource Development Associate at United Way and the primary manager of our twitter account. She will often be seen attending and tweeting about events happening in and around Kamloops!
AB – @AmyBerard
Amy is the Youth Engagement and Campus Liaison at United Way and come the fall you will often spot her at TRU tweeting up a storm about youth engagement and what the United Way Youth Club is up to.
RL – @RetaLanglands
Reta is the Community Development Assistant for the summer and also organizes and participates in all United Way’s Days of Caring. Reta will most often be tweeting “on the ground” while she works alongside organizations who are helping non-profits by building fences, doing landscaping or painting during the over 40 Days of Caring United Way organizes every summer.
MN – @lafillemagarde
Melissa is our Community Development Associate in the Cariboo. She is the face of United Way at events in Williams Lake and 100 Mile House and will be keeping our twitter feed up to date with happenings in the Cariboo!
