Day Of Caring
Day of Caring is an annual community initiative designed to foster a sense of caring through volunteerism. It's an opportunity for businesses and their employees to undertake worthwhile projects for non-profit organizations. Not only do the non-profit organizations benefit from valuable assistance in completing a much needed project that may not have been done otherwise, but the employee groups are given the opportunity to see first hand what valuable services are being provided through their annual contributions through the United Way.
Businesses are offered the chance to be recognized in the community as responsible corporate citizens at a grassroots level.
Projects have many faces; painting, landscaping, construction, mural design, and participating in agency activities.
Day of Caring promotes a deeper understanding of community issues and provides an excellent team building opportunity for employees. The projects allow workplaces to demonstrate social responsibility and to have a visual impact in the communities where stakeholders live and work.
