Michele Logan never planned on sticking around Kamloops.

When she became a professional accountant, she even considered moving her life to the Lower Mainland. But, while walking downtown Vancouver on her way to a job interview, it hit her.

“I just kind of thought, do I really want to do this?” she said.

Having grown up in the River City, Kamloops is home for Michelle. She has since built a successful career with RBC and lives on a ranch just east of the city.

She’s looking forward to the next phase of her life — having a family. While she is grateful for her future and to call Kamloops home, for her, it’s not enough.

“It’s really important to support the community that we live in,” Michele says.

“I’ve had a lot of opportunities in my life, but we’ve all had a time when it would be nice to have a helping hand.”

She has been a loyal donor, given time supported a workplace campaign as an Employee Campaign Coordinator  and most recently joined the 2017 United Way Campaign Cabinet. There is no end in sight for her support of the community. “It’s really important,” Michele says. “It makes a big difference.”
